We specialize in providing wellness programs for remote teams, but don't let that fool you - we've always worked with clients who are 100% in office too, such as law firms and call center teams. If your company is dusting off those chairs and in return to office mode, we've got you!
You know there's some nuances to hosting meetings in-office versus joining Zoom calls from home. Try out these tips to help boost participation for your upcoming in-person employee wellness events with a virtual presenter!

Forget the floor
When I think of a communal office floor, it's not a pretty picture even in the most pristine of spaces. If your team is joining from in-person offices, I always recommend offering our Desk Stretch or Meditation sessions. They can practice right from their chairs and don't have the pressure to get on the ground, whether they are concerned about germs or mobility.
Let them choose their comfort level
Give them the choice to join from their individual desks or a conference space, if one is available. Joining from their individual desks might be a preference for employees who are shy or concerned about other employees seeing them during a practice. Some team members might be living with a chronic illness that makes them nervous to be in a room with others as they practice. From an engagement perspective, joining from individual desks usually encourages more discussion in the chat that might not otherwise happen due to the cadence of conversation and not wanting to disturb others during practice.
Conference room setup for virtual wellness
If you do have a conference room available for your wellness session, please keep these things in mind for a virtual presenter. Have a point person at the conference room computer at the beginning and end to engage with the instructor on behalf of your group. Also, have chairs spaced out with room for people to swing their arms without hitting the person next to them. If it's meditation, you can dim the lights or pull the shades for ambiance.
